El Obelisco

This is the obelisk located in the city center. Its a beautiful homage to the day Argentina's national flag was raised for the first time.




"In this place, in the Tower of Saint Nicholas, was raised, for the first time in the city's history, the national flag on August 23rd, 1812".




The area surrounding the obelisk is a beautiful, lively and cosmopolitan part of the city which is filled with stores, hotels and larger than life advertisements.
